“Register Or Get Off Our Road” Ondo Govt. Tells Motorcycle Operators

Ondo state government says motorcycle and tricycle operators in the state have till next Friday 19th of January to register or get off its road.

The Senior Special Adviser to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on special duties and strategies, Doyin Odebowale stated this while addressing motorcycles and tricycle operators in Akure, the state capital.

He said the step became necessary to check the increasing criminal activities such as rape, kidnapping, cultism among others, by some faceless hoodlums among the operators

Odebowale maintained that the registration would assist security operatives to identify the perpetrators thereby addressing criminal activities.

He advised the operators to give authentic biodata, and hinted that the state government would start distributing tickets to stop sharp practices of the operators union leaders

In their separate responses some of the operatorsFunsho ologunoye, Samuel Victor and Akingbemila Tayo appealed for extension of the registration exercise, while noting that the process is a laudable one.
