Refineries Rehab: We’re open to external financing, says NNPC

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, is still in need of external financing for rehabilitating ailing refineries.

The group general manager, group public affairs division of the NNPC, Ndu Ughamadu told newsmen that the corporation can no longer depend on internal cash flows for the project.

The refineries, which are located in Port harcourt, Kaduna and Warri have a combined installed capacity of 445,000 barrels per day.

However, they have continued to operate far below the installed capacity for many years.
