President Buhari departs Abuja for OIC summit
President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to join other world leaders today at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
In a statement, Buhari’s senior special assistant on media and publicity Malam Garba Shehu states that the president is expected to address the forum on the need to work together to combat common challenges facing member states.
The 14th session of the summit conference of OIC is slated for Friday 31 and will be hosted by king Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
President Muhammadu Buhari who is expected to return on June 2nd becomes the third Nigerian leader to attend the OIC conference in person after late Alhaji Umaru Yar’adua and Goodluck Jonathan.
