Police Nab Five Suspects in ₦23m Fraud, Kidnapping, Robbery Case in Ondo
The Ondo State Police Command has arrested five suspects linked to 23 million naira fraud, kidnapping, armed robbery, and ritual activities.
This is contained in statements issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olushola Ayanlade.
The statement says operatives of the Special Weapon and tactics, SWAT, arrested Ajayi Ademola Joseph, who allegedly collected ₦23 million from Pastor Foluso Ajibobola under the pretence of securing U.S. travel documents for his sister.
The suspect reportedly fled after collecting the money but was tracked and arrested in Ogun State following months of investigation.
In another development, Ayanlade confirms the arrest of a four-man kidnapping, robbery, and ritual gang in Ogbese.
The suspects, led by Ifeoluwa Julius, were picked up by SWAT operatives after intelligence revealed they had returned from a location where they obtained criminal charms for future attacks.
Recovered items include an expended cartridge, fetish materials, and blood-stained cloth, while the suspects confessed to several kidnapping incidents around Ogbese.
Ayanlade stated that all suspects will face prosecution at the conclusion of investigations.
