Police arrest man for illegal possession of firearms in Osun

Osun state police command has arrested a 35 year old man Kazeem Folajinmi for illegal possession of locally fabricated firearms.

Parading the suspect at the police headquarters in osogbo, the police spokesperson, yemisi Opalola said the suspect was arrested in ejigbo based on credible intelligence

Opalola hinted that the suspect specialized in making arms and ammunition for criminals saying that some of his cohorts are currently in correctional service.

Opalola hinted that after the general election, the Commissioner of police in the state ordered that all illegal firearms must be mopped out in the state, saying this made the men of the command to swing into action in compliance with the commissioner’s directive.

She therefore reiterated the command’s commitment to making osun state a safe haven for all.

The suspect Kazeem Folajinmi who spoke in Yoruba denied his involvement in the recovered firearms.
