PDP and APC trade words on Ondo debt profile

The PDP in Ondo state has said there is no substance to the claim by the Ondo state government that it inherited a debt of over 200 billion naira from past PDP- led administration in the state.

In an interview with Adaba FM, the publicity secretary of PDP in the state, Zaddock Akintoye argued that the debts of Ondo state at the inception of the Akeredolu administration was just over 68 billion naira.

The PDP publicity secretary also dared the Akeredolu administration to open its books to members of the public to show that it has nothing to hide.

Akintoye warned that the PDP would henceforth match the Akeredolu administration word for word if it does not stop making unsubstantiated claims.

In a swift reaction, the Ondo state commissioner for information Donald Ojogo said the PDP should try and separate politics from reality
