Osun PDP gets new substantive chairman

One time acting chairman of the People’s Democratic party, PDP in Osun state, Hon. Sunday Bisi has emerged substantive chairman of the party in the state.

Sunday Bisi emerged as chairman while Bola Ajao emerged as secretary after ballots conducted during the party’s Congress held at the Osogbo city stadium in the state capital.

3 delegates each ward in all local government areas in the state participated in the ballot.

The Congress was conducted by a team of PDP officials from the party headquarters in Abuja, and was supervised by officials of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC),

While Speaking after his emergence, the new chairman, Sunday Bisi promised to deepen unity among members of the party in the state and to ensure collaboration that will drive the state governor’s agenda for development.

Earlier the state governor Ademola Adeleke Urged members of the party to support the newly elected excos in order to take the party to a greater heights.

It would be recalled that for the past one year the party is under the leadership of a caretaker committee.
