Osun CP disbands tactical squad over unprofessional conduct
The commissioner of police in Osun State Olawale Olokode, has ordered the immediate disbandment of CP’s Surveillance Squad.
This coming as a result of series of complaints of unprofessional conduct exhibited by the personnel of the squad.
In a statement made available to newsmen by the police spokesperson Yemisi Opalola, the dissolution takes immediate effect and officers attached to the squad are to report to the state headquarters for redeployment.
CP Olokode noted that the dissolution will serve as a deterrent to other tactical squads in the command, saying that the command under his watch will not tolerate act culpable of soiling the image of the force.
He thereby enjoined the people of the state to rekindled their trust in the police, as the state command is committed to rid the state of criminal activities.
