Osun APC Elders Caucus Pledges Peace Ahead of Governorship Primary

Ahead of the All Progressives Congress Governorship Primary Election in Osun State, the elder caucus of the All progressive Congress has pledged to maintain a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere throughout the selection process.

The chairman of the Elders Caucus Sola Akinwumi who was speaking shortly after a meeting with the party’s aspirants in Ilobu, emphasized the importance of preserving unity and cohesion within the party, regardless of the outcome of the primary election.

Akinwumi hinted that all the aspirants of the party have expressed their commitment to upholding the party’s democratic principles and respecting the outcome of the primary election.

He expressed confidence in the APC’s prospects of winning the 2026 Governorship election, citing the party’s strong support base and the aspirants’ pledge to put the party’s interests above their own.

Akinwumi also assured the aspirants of fairness and adherence to party’s rules in the process that will led to the emergence of the Governorship candidate.

The aspirants at the meeting include, the M.D of Nationals Inland Waterways Authority, Bola Oyebamiji, Dotun Babayemi, senator Jide Omoworare, Chief of Staff, former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Peter Babalola.

Others were Kunle Adegoke, Mudashiru Hussain, Akin Ogunbiyi.
