Ondo to collaborate stakeholders in education sector

Ondo state governor Rotimi Akeredolu says the state is ready to collaborate with stakeholders in the education sector to ensure the implementation of his education policies.

He said education is crucial in the development of any society.

Akeredolu spoke at the advocacy and sensitization forum on the establishment of national secondary education commission for stakeholders from south west geo-political zone held in Akure.

The governor described education as the best legacy parents can offer.

Akeredolu was represented by the Ondo state head of service, pastor John Adeyemo.

The Executive secretary of the commission Benjamin Abakpa said the body possesses the necessary expertise to train secondary school teachers.

He added that arrangements were being made to empower teachers for productivity.

Abakpa noted that the commission serves as a regulatory and intervention agency for secondary education in Nigeria.
