Ondo Police Smash Kidnap Syndicate, Arrest 5 Suspects
The Ondo State Police Command has arrested five suspects for their alleged involvement in kidnapping and other violent crimes across Ondo and Edo States.
The suspects were arrested by operatives of the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad during a coordinated intelligence-led operation, which also led to the recovery of an English-made single-barrel gun used in their criminal activities.
Police Public Relations Officer, Olushola Ayanlade, said the group has been operating as part of a larger interstate kidnapping network responsible for several abductions along major highways in the South-West.
Ayanlade added that the suspects have made confessional statements and will be charged to court after investigations are completed.
Those arrested include Abayomi Fayankinu, Felix Orkaa, Adebayo, and Ibukun Jimoh Samson, popularly known as Iron Body.
Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, assured residents that the Command remains committed to keeping the state safe through proactive and intelligence-driven policing.
