Ondo Police Nab Suspect Behind Fake Police Academy Admission Scam

The Ondo State Police Command says it has arrested a notorious fraudster behind a fake Police Academy admission scam.

Police spokesman DSP Ayanlade Olayinka confirmed that Samson Olamilekan Owolade was arrested in Akure by the Cybercrime Unit.

The suspect was accused of duping young Nigerians seeking admission into the Nigeria Police Academy in Kano.

He created fake online groups on WhatsApp and Facebook where more than 100 people had already fallen victim.

Police say several phones, laptops, routers, and SIM cards used for the crime were recovered from him.

The case will be handed over to the Police Academy in Kano for further investigation and prosecution.
