Ondo PDP gets new chairman
Fatai Adams has emerged the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo state.
Adams, a former Vice Chairman of the party polled 1,343 votes to defeat his rival, Dennis Alonge who polled 386 votes.
Tola Alabere defeated Benson Enikuomeyin to emerged as the vice chairman of the party with 1,395 to 252.
A legal practitioner Oluseye Oluseyi scored 1,385 to emerge as the new secretary of the party.
In his reaction, Adams thanked members of the party for their support and promised to unite the party.
Outgoing chairman of the party, Clement Faboyede thanked the delegates for their dedication and sacrifice.
Chairman of the electoral committee, Oke Ezenwa commended the oneness, corporation and the spirit of sportsmanship exhibited by the contestant and other members of the party at the congress.
The newly elected executive members are expected to lead the party for the next four years.
