Ondo lawmakers deny inducement to impeach deputy governor



The Ondo house of assembly has refuted the allegation of 10 million naira bribe given to each member to fast-track the impeachment of the deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi.

A statement by chairman house committee on information, Olugbenga Omole describes the allegation as unfounded and an attempt to create enmity between the executive and legislature.

The lawmakers claim they cannot be induced as they represent the interest of the people of the state.

The statement urges the people of the state to disregard the rumour and go about their lawful dealings.
