Ondo govt appreciates roles town planners played in redesigning state’s structure

The need to harness resources to deliver a better administration for urban and regional planning under a distressed economy was a major talking point at the investiture of Mr Sam Ayodele Anawoye as the 11th chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, Ondo state chapter.

The guest lecturer, Professor Basorun from Federal University of Technology Akure, stressed the need for government to see physical planning and urban development as one that make the society a better place to live.

In his remark, Mr Sam Anawoye said Ondo state will be a great place to live if relevant stakeholders adhere strictly to development plans laid by the law.

The Ondo state commissioner for physical planning and urban development Alhaji Rasheed Badmus appreciated the roles town planners played in redesigning the structure of the state.

Other executive members inaugurated include Gbenga Enisan as 1st vice chairman, Sogbon Odunwole as 2nd vice chairman, and prince Adeyemi Adeboye as secretary.

Others are Rachel Akintunde, treasurer and Akinlotan Akintayo as financial secretary.
