Ondo court terminates contempt suit against speaker, others

The Ondo State High Court has terminated a contempt of court suit against the Speaker, Bamidele Oleyeloogun and three others.

In his ruling, Justice Ademola Bola said the termination followed compliance by the leadership of house to an earlier ruling of the court in respect of four suspended lawmakers.

The judge, commended the speaker and other members for honouring the court summon.

Also, the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice in Ondo state , Sir Charles Titiloye lauded the court’s ruling, describing it as a victory for democracy.

One of the reinstated lawmakers, Iroju Ogundeji expressed his satisfaction with the judgment.

Ogundeji appreciate the Attorney General for his efforts in the amicable resolution of the crisis.
