Ondo assembly expresses concern over influx of child beggars
The Ondo State House assembly has expressed concerned over the influx of teenage beggars on major roads in Akure metropolis.
The matter was raised as an urgent public attention at the plenary by the lawmakers.
The lawmakers noted the Beggars on the major roads as constitute nuisance to law-abiding citizens who goes about their businesses.
They stressed the need for state government to revisit the child right law of 2010 in order to address the eyesore of teenage beggars.
Speaker, Bamidele Oleyeloogun called on government to set up task force on major road in order to put an end to influx teenage beggars causes breach of peace on the street
Oleyeloogun therefore implored parents to take responsibilities for raising their children
