Ondo Assembly Drums Support For NLC
The Ondo state House of Assembly has backed labour unions in kicking against the planned removal of minimum wage from the exclusive legislative list to the concurrent list.
The union, comprising the Joint Negotiation Council (JNC) Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) today protested moves by the national assembly to remove the national minimum wage from the exclusive to the concurrent legislative list.
Speaker, Bamidele Oleyeloogun assured the union of its cooperation in improving the welfare of workers in the state
On his part, TUC state chairman, Mrs Omowumi Odofin said the planned action of the national assembly will be met with strong resistance.
Also, NLC chairman, Oluwole Adeleye expressed his displeasure over discrepancies on unpaid salaries.
