Former NTA boss picks holes in NBC conducts
Former director general of the Nigerian Television Authority, Tony Iredia has picked holes in the activities of the National Broadcasting Commission.
Iredia believed that the regulation of the media should be based on fairness and objectivity.
He decried the situation whereby the NBC becomes an appendage of either the presidency or the federal government.
Iredia posited that lack of operational equity has led to the poor standard and contents in many broadcast media in Nigeria.
And in what appears as a response, NBC’s director of broadcast monitoring, Armstrong Idachaba said, the commission has a mandate to discharge its duties without being biased.
