Non Assets Declaration: Suspended CJN Onnoghen closes case at CCT
The suspended chief justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen has closed his defence in the case of false and non assets declaration brought against him by the federal government.
At the continuation of the trial today, counsel to Justice Onnoghen, Chris Uche announced the closure of the defendants case.
He asked for 14 days to file the final written address.
The prosecuting counsel, Aliyu Amar said the defence counsel had given him prior notice to close the defence.
Umar asked the tribunal to allot time for the filing of final address.
Meanwhile, the code of conduct tribunal has fixed April 15 for adoption of final addresses by parties in the trial.
