NIMC workers threaten to down tools over decayed infrastructure
Workers union in the National Identity Management Commission says it would proceed on strike after the expiration of its 21-day ultimatum to the federal government.
The union is angry about the deplorable state of NIMC enrolment centres across the country.
The 21-day ultimatum letter was signed by the secretary-general of the association of senior civil servants of Nigeria, Isaac Ojemhenke.
The letter said the deplorable state of NIMC enrolment centres across the country is obvious in leaking roofs, poor furniture and lack of toilet facility.
It says this had resulted in staff members deadly encounters with snakes and other reptiles.
