Nigerian Army assures peaceful atmosphere during general election

The Nigerian Army says it will remain non partisan in the 2019 general elections.

A statement by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sagir Musa says the only vote it will play in the election is to provide a peaceful atmosphere.

The statement denies army’s involvement in political activities in Rivers state.

It asks Nigerian to ignore information attributed to the Nigerian army that contradicts its cure values of professionalism and its rules of engagement.
