“Nigeria needs to be prudent in managing public finances” – Former CBN Boss

Nigeria needs to be prudent in managing its public finances and more creative in ways of generating revenues.

These were the words of a former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) deputy governor Dr. Obadiah Mailafia while fielding questions from newsmen in Abuja.

Mailafia said a lot is being spent on unnecessary frivolities in the country which amounts to waste of the nations resources.

The former CBN boss was also critical of Nigerian government for not being transparent in policies and programmes implemented for the masses.
