New Year: Akeredolu Pardons 12 Prisoners

Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has pardoned 12 prisoners serving Jail term In the state prison.

This is in exercise of the power conferred on him by Paragraph of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended.

Akeredolu according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Segun Ajiboye, approved the pardon following the recommendation of the state Advisory Council on Prerogative of mercy.

The governor advised the affected prison inmates to use the opportunity given them judiciously and turn a new leaf…

He charged them to engage in legal and positive activities that will contribute to the development of the country, rather than resuming their old ways
