NECO Registrar, Godswill Obioma, is dead

The registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO) Professor Godswill Obioma is dead.

Reports say Obioma was assassinated in  Minna, Niger state home on Monday night by masked hoodlums.

The masked hoodlums reportedly strangled him.

Obioma, 67, was appointed as the registrar of NECO on the 22 May 2020 by president Buhari.

He hailed from Abia state.

His wife, Elizabeth who spoke to newsmen today said the assassins left the home without taking anything away.

According to her, Obioma had just returned to Minna from a trip to Abuja when the armed men descended on him and strangled him

Meanwhile, some members of his family have debunked the assassination story.
