NDLEA seizes 10.5 tons of illicit drugs in Maiduguri

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Borno state command has uncovered 10.522 kilograms of compressed cannabis sativa also known as ‘wee wee allegedly concealed in a warehouse in Maiduguri.

The chairman of the NDLEA, retired colonel Muhammad Abdallah disclosed this in a statement to newsmen in Abuja on Monday.

Abdallah says the seizure came after weeks of painstaking surveillance and monitoring.

Reports say the drugs were for onward shipment to border countries such as Niger, Chad and Cameroon.
