NCDC deploys experts in 22 states for COVID-19 tests

The director general of the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, Chikwe Ihekweazu, says Nigeria must focus more on winning the fight against coronavirus.

On Thursday morning, Ihekweazu told newsmen that the NCDC has deployed teams in 22 states, agreeing that there is need to test more people.

The NCDC chief said the main objective is not to stop transmission, but to focus on re-starting some parts of the economy as soon as possible.

He also advised Nigerians to take responsibility, especially if they are ill, or are caring for a sick person
