NAPTIP To Partner Ondo Govt In Combating Child Labour

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons (NAPTIP) has sought the partnership of Ondo state government in reducing child labor in the state.

The Agency believes that government has a role to play in engaging stakeholders on the implications of human trafficking.

The Agency stated this during a courtesy call on governor Rotimi Akeredolu in Akure, the state capital.

The delegation was led buy Director legal services in the Agency, Mr Hassan Tahir.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu said he is committed to collating data of the children involved child labor and human trafficking across the state.

Akeredolu noted that thorough sensitization will soon be held on the advantage of parental care as one of strategic steps to curb human trafficking.

The governor promised to render the necessary support for the agency for productivity.
