Local government will not be free unless the state electoral bodies are independent – Lagos Politician

As agitation for local governments’ autonomy continues, former vice chairman of Kosofe local government in Lagos state Segun popularly known as Bashorun says the local government cannot be completely free unless the state electoral bodies are independent.

He said masses in the country would continue to suffer unless there is complete autonomy for local governments.

Bashorun explains why local government were created in 1979.

He said state governments are the impediment to local government operations.
