Libya’s Haftar leaves Moscow without signing ceasefire agreement

Libya’s renegade military commander Khalifa Haftar has left Moscow without signing an agreement that would have formalised a ceasefire in the war-wracked country.

After hours of negotiations brokered by Russia and Turkey, Haftar asked to look over the agreement but he left Moscow without signing the deal.

Already the deal has been signed by the head of the United Nations-recognised government of national accord, Fayez Al- Sarraj.

The talks in the Russian capital were held a day after a ceasefire brokered by Russia and Turkey came into force in Libya.
