Libya’s coastguard rescues 290 migrants off Tripoli’s coast

Libya’s coast guard has rescued about 290 migrants.

Naval forces spokesman, Ayoub Qassem said the immigrants were found gripping inflatable rafts.

A total of 203 migrants were rescued off Zlitin, a town 160 kilometres east of the capital.

Another 87 were found off Qarabuli a town 50 kilometres east of Tripoli.
