Lesotho prime minister to resign over murder allegation

Lesotho prime minister, Thomas Thabane has announced to his party that he will step down.

A spokesperson for the ruling party, All Basotho convention said Mr Thabane will officially announce his resignation on Tuesday.

No reason has been given for his decision.

The party had last week demanded Thabane’s resignation after court documents had linked him to the  murder of his estranged wife Lipolelo Thabane in 2017.

The prime minister has not given comments on the allegations.
