Lawmakers want federal to tackle Shiite movement demands
The house of representatives has asked the executive arm of government to urgently engage with the Islamic movement in Nigeria to resolve the grievances.
The house considered the matter at plenary as a matter of urgent public importance following the invasion of the national assembly by members of the group.
Lawmakers also expressed concern about what they described as porous security nature of the assembly.
The lawmaker called for timely intervention to forestall a re-occurrence.
