Kidnappers demand N150m for release of Cross River NLC Chairman

The kidnappers of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, chairman in Cross River state, comrade Ben Ukpekpi have reportedly contacted the family demanding N150m ransom.

Reports say the kidnappers contacted the family to make their position known.

Meanwhile the vice chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Lawrence Achuta, when contacted via phone said the kidnappers had not contacted the union.

Also, the former chairman of Trade Union Congress (TUC) Comrade Clarkson Otu lamented the non-release of the victim saying, the emergence of kidnapping is a very worrisome and unfortunate development.
