Kidnapped victims along Ifon/Owo road regain freedom

The four people kidnapped along Ifon/Owo road last Friday have been released by their abductors.

Akindele Aribo, Olayemi Aribo, Mrs Ola Aribo and their mother, Justina Aribo were on their way to a festival in Umoru when their vehicle was shot at and were hurriedly taken into the bush on foot.

One of the victims, Akindele Aribo spoke with Adaba FM in a phone interview.

Akindele Aribo said they were always on the move in the forest until they were released on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Olumoru of Umoru, Oba Rotimi Obamuwagun, thanked Ondo state government and security agencies including the Amotekun corps, for their efforts in securing the release of the victims.

The monarch also told Adaba FM that ransom was paid, though he did not disclose the sum.

Oba Rotimi Obamuwagun advised that government should start matching execution with intention.
