Kenyan government ordered to build toilets on highways

A Kenyan high court has ordered the government to build public toilets along all highways.

Justice Kossy Bor told the transport minister to constitute a team that will oversee the policy on the provision of sanitary facilities on the highways.

The team is expected to consist of representatives from governments circle and road authorities.

Reports say, the case was filed by a lawyer who had argued that access to sanitary facilities is a basic right.
