INEC continues review of 2019 elections
The Independent National Electoral Commission has continued the review of the 2019 general elections in Lagos state.
At the event, INECĀ national chairman, Mahmud Yakubu, spoke on the constraints of the commission bothering on the recommendations made by various local and international observers.
He reassured that the critical recommendations will be considered in the forthcoming Bayelsa and Kogi elections.
Meanwhile, INECĀ says it wants to restore the confidence of voters in the governorship elections in Bayelsa and Kogi states.
National commissioner of INEC, Festus Okoye who made this known in Lagos, said the commission is working hard to conduct credible elections in both states on November 16.
He explained that they intend to carry out a robust voter education to ensure the people of the states understand their processes and procedures.
Okoye urged political parties to conduct their primaries in line with the provisions of the electoral act.
