INEC Commences Training For Adhoc Staff Ahead Ondo LG Election
The Independent National Electoral Commission has commenced a three day training for its electoral officers and assistant electoral officers ahead of the October 10 governorship election in Ondo state.
The training was organised by the electoral institute in collaboration with the international foundation for electoral systems.
The Ondo state resident electoral commissioner, Ambassador Rufus Akeju said the training was to consolidate their skills and competence.
Akeju urged them to pay attention to instructions during the training to ensure successful conduct of the election.
The director general, the electoral institute, Dr Sa’ad Umar Idris said electoral officers and assistant electoral officers would be taken through new innovations and guidelines the commission has developed to ensure the conduct of free, fair and credible elections.
