Imo Assembly deputy speaker resigns
The deputy speaker of the Imo state house of assembly has resigned.
The resignation of the deputy speaker followed Wednesday’s suspension of the speaker of the house, right honourable Acho Ihim.
The majority leader, Honourable Lugard Osuji was also suspended while the speaker was subsequently issued an impeachment notice.
Meanwhile, the resignation letter dated May 15 was received by the office of the clerk of the state house on May 16.
