IGP orders withdrawal of police formations attached to EFCC

Acting inspector-general of police, Usman Baba, has ordered the withdrawal of senior police officers from the rank of chief superintendent of police and above attached to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

He hinged the decision on the operational requirements of the force.

In a letter, addressed to the EFCC chairman and signed by the principal staff officer to the IG, Idowu Omohunwa, the police boss directed that the affected officers should report immediately.
