IGP calls for state govts’ backup to enhance police activities
The Inspector General of Police, Mr Muhammed Adamu has called for the full and genuine support of state governments to enhance the activities of the police.
Adamu said that states have a great role to play in securing the grassroots and the urban centres.
The inspector general of police spoke at the South South regional police security summit 2019 held in Asaba, Delta state.
Governor of Delta state, Ifeayin Okowa commended the police for their operational tactics in the riverine areas.
Okowa pledged more cooperation of the state Govt. to strengthen their operations.
There were representation from Edo, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Rivers state and Cross River state.
