IAAF Diamond League: Okagbare to compete alongside champions

Nigerian sprinter, Blessing Okagbare will come up against Jamaica’s double olympic champion, Elaine Thompson and commonwealth gold medalist, Michelle-lee Ahye in the 100 metres event at the IAAF Diamond League in Shangei, China on Saturday.

This will be Okagbare’s first in the 100 meters event this season after taking part in the 200 metres event in Doha, Qatar two weeks ago.

She clocked 23.14 seconds to come 3rd in the 200 metres event in Doha.

The stacked field will also feature upcoming American stars, Aleia Hobbs, Jenna Prandini and Ashley Enderson who have all broken the 11 seconds barrier.
