House of Assembly: Ekiti supplementary election witnesses large turnout of voters

The supplementary election to determine the winner of the House of Assembly election in Ido/osi Constitutiency one in Ekiti state is ongoing.

Adaba FM correspondent Oluwaseun Adebolu who was in the town to monitor the Process reported that voting started 8:30 in the morning.

The election holding at three different polling units in One ward at the Constitutiency witnessed large turnout of voters with different security agents on ground to maintain peace and order.

INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner Prof Ayobami Salami while speaking with members of different political parties at the polling units sues for Peace urging the people to desist from activities that could disrupt the process for the second time.

Also the state Commissioner of Police Dare Ogundare said that police would not condole any act violence.

It would be recalled that INEC declared the result of the Constituiency inconclusive during the March 18 state assembly election in Ekiti after the process was marred with irregularities.
