Hijrah: Osun govt declares Friday public holiday
Osun state government has declared tomorrow as public holiday for Muslim New Year Hijrah.
The commissioner for information and civic orientation in the state Funke Egbemode who made this known through a statement made available to newsmen said the gesture was to afford Muslims in the state the opportunity to celebrate the new Islamic year.
The statement any form of social or religious gathering in respect of the celebration will not allowed.
The state government enjoined residents of the state to continue observing safety guidelines against COVID-19 as stated by the government and NCDC
