Haitians damage property in angry anti-government protest

Thousands of demonstrators who took to the streets of the Haitian capital want president Jovenel Moise to leave office.

They are accusing him of not investigating allegations of corruption in previous government.

Protesters lit car tyres in the middle of the streets while police in riot gear were seen firing tear gas canisters.

Opposition leader Jean Charles says that protests will continue in the coming days until president Moise resigns.

Reports say at least ten people have died in recent demonstrations in Haiti.
