Group indicts Governor Adeleke for illegal award of contracts

The Coalition of Civil Societies Organisation in Osun State has called on the state Governor senator Ademola Adeleke to set up a commission of enquiry into the current state of boreholes sunk across all the 332 wards in the State.

The Executive Director of coalition of civil societies in Osun state Professor Wasiu Oyedokun made the call while speaking to journalists in Osogbo the state capital.

It would be recalled that Governor Ademola Adeleke while marking his 100 days in office said he has sunk boreholes across all the 332 wards in the state.

According to prof Oyedokun, the group has visited some of the locations of the boreholes discovering that Ninety percents of the boreholes are not working perfectly.

They also alleged the state government of not following due process in awarding contracts saying this is against the law.

The group therefore called on the state government to do the needful by ensuring that the boreholes is made functional for the people of the state.

Professor Wasiu Oyedokun also noted Government must ensure proper needs Assessment before embarking on any project.
