Governor Akeredolu gives critical analysis of 2022 budget

Ondo state government says it will make significant and sustained improvement on independent revenue through efficient and innovative administrative system to drive the 2022 budget.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu said that the budget has been designed to address the loopholes in the financial services of the state.

Akeredolu was represented by the commissioner for budget and economic planning Emmanuel Igbasan at the Analysis of the 2022 budget in Akure.

Mr Emmanuel Igbasan said government will equally partner private, public, national and international organisations to drive inclusive growth to boost its resources.

He added that the government says it will consolidate on the development of infrastructure by completing on all ongoing projects across the state.

The 2022 budget Christianed ‘budget of re-engineering seeks to define the clear pathway of the present administration towards steady progress as it continue to improve on building strong foundation for the economic transformation of the state.

Igbasan informed that 13.8 billion naira is earmarked for statutory transfer and debt repayment.

He noted that the budget will focus more on agriculture, rural roads network, health, education, and other sectoral areas including economic, social, law and justice, regional and general administration of the state.
