Ganduje splits Kano Emirate into five
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state has signed a bill that sought to split the Kano emirate into five into law.
With the signing of the emir’s appointment and deposition amendment bill 2019 into law, the state now has five emirates, Gaya, Rano, Karaye, Bichi and Kano.
Governor Ganduje said with the new law traditional institution will now go closer to the people.
