FUTA gets accolade as best technology institute in Nigaria

The deputy vice chancellor, development, Federal University of Technology Akure, Professor Philip Gbenro Oguntunde has described the institution as the best technology institute in Nigeria with proof.

Oguntunde who doubles as chairman ceremonial committee of the institution spoke while addressing news men to herald activities marking the 40th anniversary and 32nd convocation of the institution.

He highlighted awards of excellence and recognition conferred on the institution as an evidence of technological advancement which is the pride of the institution.

Professor Oguntunde also boasted of the quality of students in the institution, tipping them to compete favourably with their counterparts from any part of the world.

Professor Oguntunde insisted that the institution has continued to experience landmark achievements in the face of various challenges facing the education sector.

Part of the activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary and 32nd convocation of the institution are award ceremony, project lunching and seminar.
