France asks Cameroon to respect legal right to free speech
France has called on the Cameroonian government to respect the rights of people to freely express their opinions.
This is coming after the arrest of Cameroon opposition chief, Maurice Kamto and hundreds of his supporters.
Kamto was charged with rebellion by a military tribunal on Wednesday.
One of the lawyers said the charges were political and nothing of a judicial nature.
The french foreign ministry said it was following, developments in Cameroon.
